As data amounts grow, computer techniques evolve on the base of graphic interface module
(VISCOM) and plotting module (GRAFIK) enabling geological and technical divisions of
BashNeft enterprises to solve numerous tasks (development analysis and forecast,
hydrocarbonate resources accounting, rig maintenance efficiency estimate, etc.) |

With use of COMTECO’s software all necessary information has been imported from spreadsheets to databases. In addition, diverse analog geoscientific information (first of all, log data and reservoir parameters maps) has been digitized and loaded into the databases. Combination of structured set of heterogeneous data with means of their display and processing has become a prerequisite for their complex analysis and systematization. By now comprehensive databank has been created. It stores geological and production data for more than 400 wells belonging to three gas fields. Being used in production activity support mode, VISCOM-GAZ databank provides bilateral interface with EXCEL spreadsheets system. Therefore, specialists who get used to operating this system are able to master new technology very quickly. New software tools have significantly increased their labour productivity, since these means support complete technological procedure: data input, their automatic readjustment, calculations, and representation of results obtained. Involved technique is used to account technological behaviour of well and monthly exploitation report. Gas pressure mapping, which is a compulsory stage of technological procedure, is an example of practical use of VISCOM-GAZ databank. Graphic demonstration of this most important parameter greatly facilitates spatial information analysis and is instrumental in validated decision-making. Perfection of diverse and heterogeneous information used in gas field development technological process is a necessary precondition for creation of reservoirs geological-production model. In the future this will discover new possibilities to forecast and optimize gas fields development. It also will allow various specialists to take well-grounded strategic and tactical decisions. We plan further collaboration with COMTECO Ltd. In prospect VISCOM-GAZ databank is to become a multipurpose information analytical system at our enterprise. |
