COMTECO Ltd. was established in 1986. The company's founders are specialists in the field of computer technologies for data collection, input, storage, and processing. The company's general activity is a development of original software and, by means of it, realization of integrated technologies for information processing. Until 1991 the company specialized in geophysical research and log data interpretation based on use of first generation personal computers. The company's software products were widely used by geophysical organizations of the USSR.
Main products the company developed then are following:

  • Software complex for log data entry, editing, and processing
  • Software tools for logs and processing results visualization with raster plotters usage
  • Software package supporting computerized log analysis complex GEOFIT
  • Multi-tasked real-time operating system
  • Software providing digital log data recording and control means
  • Software toolkit for express analysis of geophysical research data.

    • In 1991 the company managers decided to embark on intensive development of software tools to construct and maintain sophisticated databases on the personal computer platform. These efforts have resulted in ingenious know-how, namely, object-oriented database concept. On this foundation the company has been developing geophysical, geological, and production databanks for oil and gas industry since 1994.
    High efficiency of promoted technologies allows the company to implement enormous databanks holding all geoscientific and production information of large oil recovery enterprises on personal computer platform.
